Big Shots Club exceeds expectation

Big Shots monthly medal, the brainchild of TRANSVIEW GOLF, held its fourth edition on Jan. 31st, 2008 at Kelab Golf Seri Selangor. An over subscribed turnout of 130 golfers showed up at the tough course layout.

“Despite heavy down pour last night, we are very pleased that our members still showed up with great spirits all ready to go, said Willie Lim (Country Manager of Transview Malaysia).

The fourth edition monthly medal saw the launch of Big Shots Club’s official logo. “This new logo is designed to give the Big Shots Club a more contemporary look. The four colors depicted in the new logo emphasizes our goal to be more multi racial and multi faceted. As our drive is to bring fellow golfers together, we believe is well represented in this new look. Together we strive for Unity Through Golf”, added Lim.

Despite the tough condition caused by heavy downpour the night before, scores from the A Medal was surprisingly low. Second time winner Zaharudin Ismail (9) with 40 points, followed by Salehuddin (6) with 39 points ocb.

The B Medal was a bit more interesting with four players tied, eventually won by Raja Shahrul Azmi (20) with 31 points ocb, followed by Ihsan Mohd (20) ocb over two other players.

This club’s monthly medal consist of, 12 monthly medals based on System 36 (modified) and would feature a two day Annual Championship to be held at a Prestigious Golf Club within the Klang Valley. An Order of Merit points system has been setup to award winners from each leg of the “Big Shots Monthly Medal”. The top five leaders of the Order of Merit (Category) will automatically qualify for the Annual Championship.
